Thanks for the suggestion, I'm modeling everything based on real measurements and all walls (including the bridge wings/cabs) I'm modeling at 4" thick. It used to be 6" which is probably more accurate but the windows looked really thick and bulky ... 4" is a happy medium - it looks better up close I think. Unfortunately the historical record of the ship is pretty sketchy - it's really hard to find nitty-gritty measurements - so some of it is just educated guesswork based on pictures and paintings.

As for hours, I haven't really timed myself, but I've been working on different versions of this model since November. This current stage (which I think is the 7th version) I've been working on for about a week, with anywhere between 2 and 6 hours per day.
